The DDS238-4 W is a singleβphase 3βwire AC active energy meter designed for biβdirectional energy measurement in gridβtied systems such as solar PV monitoring. It operates at 110/220V with a rated current of 10(100)A. The meter features an LCD display with keypad navigation for stepβbyβstep viewing of phase voltage, L1/L2 current, active power, frequency, total/import/export active energy, and reactive energy. Biβdirectional active energy measurement (import/export) is supported. Communication is via RS485 using MODBUSβRTU protocol (default 9600bps, address 1β247, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit). A passive pulse output with optical coupling isolation and an LED indicator provide consumption pulsing. Nonβvolatile memory retains energy data for over 15 years without power. The meter mounts on a 35mm DIN rail with bottomβterminal wiring, complies with IEC62053β21 and DIN 43880, and offers Class 1 or 0.5% accuracy. With an AC withstand voltage of 4000V and IP20 rating, it is suitable for industrial/commercial applications requiring RS485 data logging and MODBUS integration.
